Arkaluna Resort & Adventure, tucked away in the cool highlands of Kintamani just a scenic two-hour drive from Bali’s airport, feels like a hidden world surrounded by majestic volcanoes, ancient forests and the serene beauty of Lake Batur; the road there winds through traditional villages, lush valleys and mist-covered hills, and with daytime temperatures around 26°C and nights sometimes dipping to 12°C, mornings often greet you with misty, ethereal views.

Bring warm layers and comfortable walking shoes — the highland air is crisp and refreshing, especially at dawn. From the comfort of your room, you can witness Kintamani’s legendary sunrise as it bathes the mountains and lake in golden light. Mist often dances across the landscape, creating magical mornings that invite you to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be.

A Note on the Final Stretch

The final 2 km from the main road to the resort is currently undergoing government repair and may be uneven in some parts. While fully accessible, the road is best suited for taller vehicles such as SUVs. This short drive offers a touch of adventure, winding through natural terrain with scenic charm — perfect for those who enjoy the thrill of arriving off the beaten path.

For guests who prefer not to drive themselves, our staff is happy to assist. On request, we can chauffeur your vehicle directly to the resort for you. Alternatively, simply park your car at our private parking area located on the wide and busy Penelokan main road, and enjoy a complimentary transfer to and from the resort in one of our vehicles — at any time that suits you.
